Walgamuth Painting has been providing consistent high quality painting services to the North State for 40 years now. Walgamuth Painting serves contractors and clients on commercial, medical, assisted living, schools, museums, government offices, water tanks, oil tanks, and various industrial projects as well as interior and exterior residential repaints, custom home new construction, log and natural wood refinishing, cabinet staining or painting, and many faux finishes. We have earned a reputation for providing quality workmanship performed as scheduled in a timely, safe, and efficient manner with minimal disruption. We have established ourselves in a strong, positive manner resulting in the majority of our contracts being either referrals from previous contractors and clients or repeat and ongoing business with established customers spanning many years of service.

Walgamuth Painting is a family business that started with Walter John Walgamuth of North Dakota in the late 1800s and includes Walter Leo Walgamuth of Minnesota and Southern California, Walter Geiken Walgamuth, “Walt”, of Southern California. Walter John Walgamuth, “John”, worked for his father Walt prior to starting Walgamuth Painting here in Redding in 1975. Donn Walgamuth joined Walgamuth Painting in 1993 and is the 5th generation painting contractor carrying on the tradition of quality painting service.

Our team is led by brother and sister, Donn Walgamuth and Michelle Wecker. Donn is our vice president and operations manager and Michelle is the office manager. We strive to provide a quality workplace for our employees that in turn allow us to provide consistent, quality service to our customers. Our four (4) senior foremen have each been a part of this team for an average of 18+ years. We currently have twelve full-time and one part time employee in the field and the majority has worked for us faithfully for many years as well.

We own all of our own equipment necessary for painting and decorating operations. We provide our employees with all trucks, vans, lift equipment, spray equipment, hand tools, respirators, and safety equipment required. We own and operate four (4) boom lifts and two (2) scissors lifts. Having the right equipment readily available allows us to complete large projects in a consistent, timely, efficient manner without compromising quality or safety.
